New Catholic school to open in Greenville NC

Greenville opens the region’s first Catholic high school.  Pope John Paul II Catholic High School is scheduled to open in August at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church on Dickinson Avenue.The first ninth-grade class of about 25-30 students will begin classes in classrooms on the St. Gabriel’s campus. A grade will be added each school year until the school reaches the nine-through-12 configuration, according to the diocese. A permanent facility will be constructed nearby.
