New school’s name and  mascot approved – At its regular meeting Monday night, the Pitt County Board of Education unanimously approved the name Lakeforest Elementary for the new school planned for Briarcliff Road in Greenville NC .The mascot will be the Frog – school colors will be green and yellow -The new school will open for the 2011-12 school year .Briarcliff Road is located off of Spring Forest Road near Dickinson Avenue minutes to PCMH.
